Red Ladybird Bookmark: Project Instructions

Follow our easy instructions to learn how to make your own bookmark. Our bookmark features red ladybug and black crystal glass beads, perfect for summer time reading.

MATERIALS REQUIRED

  • 1 plain bookmark
  • 10cm tigertail
  • 2 x 8mm round crystal faceted glass crystals
  • 2 small crimps
  • 3 x ladybird glass beads
  • 5 x 3mm plain metal beads
  • 1 small star bead cap
  • 1 filigree metal tube
  • 1 strong jump ring

TOOLS REQUIRED

  • Crimping Pliers
  • Twirly Wirlies
  • Wire Cutters

INSTRUCTIONS

Pick up your piece of tigertail and thread on a small crimp, followed by a small star bead cap and a plain metal bead. Thread the tigertail around the metal ball and back through the small star bead cap and the crimp. Pull up tightly, squish down the crimp and cut off any excess tigertail.

Thread onto your tigertail:

  • a ladybird glass bead
  • a plain metal bead
  • an 8mm round faceted glass crystal
  • a plain metal bead
  • a ladybird glass bead
  • a plain metal bead
  • an 8mm round faceted glass crystal
  • a plain metal bead
  • a ladybird glass bead

Next, thread on a small crimp, followed by a filigree metal tube. Thread the tigertail through a jump ring, then back through the filigree metal tube and crimp. Pull up tightly, squish down the crimp and cut off any excess tigertail.

Open up the jump ring and thread through the small hole at the end of the bookmark. Close securely. Your bookmark is now ready to use!
