Simple Wine Glass Charms: Project Instructions

Simple Wine Glass Charms: Project Instructions

Use these simple wine charms to keep your drinks separate at your next party - perfect in this COVID era to keep your germs to yourself! These charms feature a shoe, a gecko, a ballerina, a lucky horseshoe, a fairy toadstool and a kangaroo. Techniques covered include turning loops and stringing.

  • 6 loops of ring memory wire
  • 6 x 6mm strong jump rings
  • 6 different metal charms

  • Crimping Pliers
  • Twirly Wirlies
  • Memory Wire Cutters

Pick up the ring memory wire and cut it down to 1 loop. As the wire is hardened, you will need to use stronger cutters, such as our memory wire cutters. Turn a loop on one end, so that it is completely closed. As it is a hardened wire, you'll need to use a little strength.

Loop over the other end of the memory wire, so that it will hook into the first loop.

Open up one of the jump rings using the crimping pliers and twirly wirlies and thread it onto the main part of the ring memory wire. Whilst it's open, thread on one of the metal charms, then close securely.

Repeat this process to make 6 different wine charms. These charms are perfect for adding to the stem of a wine or champagne glass, to designate everyones drink. Great in these COVID times to keep everything separate! Make sure they are removed before glasses are washed however, as the water is damaging to the metal charms.
