Blue Swirl Pendant Necklace: Project Instructions
Create this stunning necklace made using crystals, indian glass beads and featuring a freeform glass pendant. Utilises crystals, metal beads, tigertail, crimps and more.
MATERIALS REQUIRED
- 1 blue large freeform foil glass pendant
- 14 aqua blue 7mm helix crystals
- 14 aqua blue 6mm rondelle crystals
- 20 x 6/0 medium aqua seed beads
- 8 aqua blue large flat discs
- 2 small tube crimps
- 2 crimp covers
- 2 wire protectors
- 54 x 3mm plain metal beads
- 2 x 6mm strong jump rings
- 60cm tigertail
- 1 parrot clasp
TOOLS REQUIRED
- Wire Cutters
- Crimping Pliers
INSTRUCTIONS
The Pattern:
(you'll need this for most of the necklace)
- a 3mm plain metal bead
- a aqua blue large flat disc
- a 3mm plain metal bead
- a aqua blue 7mm helix crystals
- a 3mm plain metal bead
- a size 6 medium aqua seed bead
- a 3mm plain metal bead
- a aqua blue 6mm rondelle crystal
- a 3mm plain metal bead
- a size 6 medium aqua seed bead
- a 3mm plain metal bead
- a aqua blue 7mm helix crystals
The main part of the necklace:
Take the piece of tigertail and thread through a small crimp, then through a wire protector and back through the crimp, pull up tightly and squish down. Cut off any excess tigertail. Place a crimp cover around the squashed crimp and gently squish into a round ball with your pliers to hide the crimp.
Then thread on:
- a aqua blue 6mm rondelle crystal
- a 3mm plain metal bead
- a size 6 medium aqua seed bead
- a 3mm plain metal bead
- a aqua blue 6mm rondelle crystal
- a 3mm plain metal bead
- a size 6 medium aqua seed bead
- a 3mm plain metal bead
- a aqua blue 6mm rondelle crystal
- a 3mm plain metal bead
- a size 6 medium aqua seed bead
- a 3mm plain metal bead
- a aqua blue 6mm rondelle crystal
- a 3mm plain metal bead
- a size 6 medium aqua seed bead
Followed by the pattern (as above) 3 times, so that you have a total of 3 aqua blue large flat discs.
Next, thread on:
- a 3mm plain metal bead
- a aqua blue large flat disc
- a 3mm plain metal bead
- a aqua blue 7mm helix crystal
- a aqua large freeform foil glass pendant
- a aqua blue 7mm helix crystal
Followed by the pattern (as above) 3 times, so that you have a total of 3 aqua blue large flat discs in this section of the necklace.
Next, thread on:
- a 3mm plain metal bead
- a aqua blue large flat disc
- a 3mm plain metal bead
- a size 6 medium aqua seed bead
- a 3mm plain metal bead
- a aqua blue 6mm rondelle crystal
- a 3mm plain metal bead
- a size 6 medium aqua seed bead
- a 3mm plain metal bead
- a aqua blue 6mm rondelle crystal
- a 3mm plain metal bead
- a size 6 medium aqua seed bead
- a 3mm plain metal bead
- a aqua blue 6mm rondelle crystal
- a 3mm plain metal bead
- a size 6 medium aqua seed bead
- a 3mm plain metal bead
- a aqua blue 6mm rondelle crystal
Finish by threading on a small crimp then go through a wire protector and back through the small crimp. Pull up tightly and squish down. Cut off any excess tigertail. Place a crimp cover around the squashed crimp and gently squish into a round ball with your pliers to hide the crimp.
Open up one of the jump rings and thread it through the wire protector and close securely. Open up your other jumpring and attach a parrot clasp then thread it through the wire protector on the other side of your necklace and close securely.
Your necklace is now ready to wear!
