Green Heart Drop Earrings: Project Instructions
Create your own stunning green glass drop earrings with this easy beading tutorial! These earrings feature delicate bicone and oval glass beads, elegantly suspended from multi-strand connectors. MATERIALS REQUIRED
- 10 head pins
- 6 green 7mm bicone glass beads
- 4 green 10mm ridged oval glass beads
- 10 x 6mm strong jump rings
- 2 x 5 strand heart drops
- 2 ear wires
TOOLS REQUIRED
- Twirly Wirlie Pliers
- Wire Cutters
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: Creating the Small Bead Drops (DROP A)
- Take a head pin and thread on one 7mm bicone glass bead.
- Leave 10mm of space at the top of the head pin, then trim off the excess wire using wire cutters.
- Using Twirly Wirlie Pliers, create a loop at the top of the bead.
- Repeat this process five more times, so you have six identical bead drops (DROP A).
Set aside.
Step 2: Creating the Larger Bead Drops (DROP B)
- Take another head pin and thread on one 10mm ridged oval glass bead.
- Leave 10mm of space at the top, then trim off the excess using wire cutters.
- Use Twirly Wirlie Pliers to form a loop at the top of the bead.
- Repeat this process three more times, so you have four identical bead drops (DROP B).
Set aside.
Step 3: Attaching the Bead Drops to the Heart Connector
- Open a jump ring and attach it to the first loop on the heart drop connector. While open, slide on one DROP A. Close securely.
- Open another jump ring and attach it to the second loop on the heart drop connector. While open, slide on one DROP B. Close securely.
- Open a third jump ring and attach it to the third (middle) loop on the heart drop connector. While open, slide on one DROP A. Close securely.
- Open another jump ring and attach it to the fourth loop on the heart drop connector. While open, slide on one DROP B. Close securely.
- Open a final jump ring and attach it to the last loop on the heart drop connector. While open, slide on one DROP A. Close securely.
Repeat this entire process for the second earring.
Step 4: Attaching the Ear Wires
- Open the loop at the bottom of the ear wire.
- Slide the top loop of the heart drop connector onto the ear wire loop.
- Close securely.
- Repeat for the second earring.
