STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: Prepare the Tigertail Strands
- Cut five 80cm lengths of copper tigertail.
- Take one piece of tigertail and thread on a small tube crimp.
- Pass the tigertail through the loop of one eye pin and back through the crimp.
- Pull tightly to secure, squish the crimp down with crimping pliers, and trim excess tigertail.
- Repeat for the remaining four strands.
Step 2: String the Beads
- Take one tigertail strand and string 300 x 10/0 luminous pink inside color glass seed beads.
- Secure the strand by threading a small tube crimp onto the end.
- Pass the tigertail through the loop of the second eye pin and back through the crimp.
- Pull tightly to remove any gaps, squish the crimp securely, and trim the excess.
- Repeat this process for each of the remaining four strands, using the following bead colors:
- Luminous green
- Luminous orange
- Luminous yellow
- Cobalt blue
Step 3: Assemble the Necklace Ends
- Take one eye pin (now holding five beaded strands) and thread it through a long decorative bead cap so that the larger end of the cap sits against the beads.
- Pull the bead cap up tightly, leaving 10mm of wire exposed above it.
- Trim the excess wire, then twist a loop at the top using Twirly Wirlie pliers.
- Open the last link of a 3.5cm chain piece and attach it to the newly made loop.
- Close the link securely with pliers.
- Repeat the process for the other side of the necklace.
Step 4: Attach the Clasp & Finishing Touches
- Open the last link of the chain on one side of the necklace.
- Attach the fancy heart parrot clasp, then close the link securely.
- On the opposite chain, open the last link and attach the ‘handmade’ metal charm.
- Close the link securely.
