Peppermint Green Drop Necklace: Project Instructions
Green crystals and glass pearls make this necklace sparkle! We have changed things up, and used the toggle clasp at the front; this serves two purposes - it looks great as a focal, and makes the necklace easier to fasten!

- 25 x 6mm rondelle glass crystal beads
- 14 x 8mm glass pearls

- 1 plain circle toggle clasp
TOOLS REQUIRED

INSTRUCTIONS
The pattern
(you'll need this for most of the necklace)
- a 9mm helix glass crystal bead
- a 3mm plain metal bead
- a 6mm rondelle glass crystal bead
- a 3mm plain metal bead
- a 6mm rondelle glass crystal bead
- a 3mm plain metal bead
- an 8mm glass pearl
The components
Pick up a head pin and thread on a 9mm helix glass crystal bead. Leaving a space of 10mm, cut the excess off the head pin. Twirl the end using your twirly wirlies. Open the loop you just created and thread on the 2cm length of chain, close securely. Put aside.
Pick up a head pin and thread on a 6mm rondelle glass crystal bead. Leaving a space of 10mm, cut the excess off the head pin. Twirl the end using your twirly wirlies. Open the loop you just created and thread on the 5cm length of chain, close securely. Put aside.
Pick up a head pin and thread on an 8mm glass pearl. Leaving a space of 10mm, cut the excess off the head pin. Twirl the end using your twirly wirlies. Repeat so that you have two glass pearl drops. Open the loop you just created on the first glass pearl drop and thread on the second 5cm length of chain, close securely. Open the loop you created on the second glass pearl drop and thread on the 3.5cm length of chain, close securely. Put aside.
Putting it together
Take the piece of tigertail and thread through a small crimp. Thread through a jump ring, then back through the crimp. Pull up tightly, squish down your crimp and cut off any excess tigertail. Place a crimp cover around the squashed crimp and gently squish into a round ball with your pliers to hide the crimp.
Thread onto your strand:
- the pattern (as above) 12 times
Complete your necklace by threading on:
- a 9mm helix glass crystal bead
Thread the end of your tigertail through a small crimp. Thread through a jump ring, then back through the crimp. Pull up tightly (but leave enough space to put another crimp cover over the crimp) and squish down the small crimp. Cut off any excess tigertail. Place a crimp cover around the squashed crimp and gently squish into a round ball with your pliers to hide the crimp.
Open up the jump ring (as these are quite strong, you will need two pairs of pliers or a jump ring tool) on one end of the necklace and thread on the bar part of the toggle clasp, close securely. Open up the jump ring on the other end of the necklace and thread through the loop on the circle part of the necklace, close securely. Open up the last jump ring and thread through the circle part of the toggle clasp. Whilst it is open, thread on all four chain drops (created earlier), close securely. Your necklace is now ready to wear!
