INSTRUCTIONS
note: these quantities make an 18cm (small) bracelet. To make a longer bracelet, simply add more beads. Our bracelet was made with copper coloured findings, 7mm rose purple helix crystals beads and grey pink 6mm glass pearls.
This bracelet is essentially a double jump ring chain - that is a chain of jump rings, doubled together so that each link is two jump rings instead of one.
Open up a jump ring (they are quite strong, so you will need two sets of pliers, or a jump ring tool and a set of pliers). Close it securely. Open up another jump ring, and thread it onto the previous jump ring, and close it securely. Open up another jump ring, and thread it onto the previous jump ring, and close it securely. Repeat this process until you have a chain that will fit around your wrist (we used 43 jump rings).
Next, we need to create the second layer of rings. Open up a new jump ring, and thread it through the original and the third jump ring (so that it sits up against the second jump ring), close securely. Open up another jump ring, and thread it through the second (set of rings) and the fourth (single) jump ring (so that it sits up against the third jump ring), close securely. Repeat this process until you have doubled the entire chain. The very first and last jump rings should be single rings - the rest should be doubled up.
Pick up a head pin and thread on one of your 7mm helix crystal beads. Also thread on a plain metal bead. Leaving a space of 10mm, cut the excess off the head pin. Twirl the end using your twirly wirlies. Repeat process until you have 20 7mm helix crystal head pin charms. Pick up a new head pin and thread on one of your 6mm glass pearl beads. Also thread on a plain metal bead. Leaving a space of 10mm, cut the excess off the head pin. Twirl the end using your twirly wirlies. Repeat process until you have 20 6mm glass pearl head pin charms.
Open up a new jump ring and thread on one of the 6mm glass pearl charms and one of the 7mm helix crystal charms. Thread through the second set of jump rings on your chain, and then close securely. Repeat process, adding the charms to every second set of jump rings.
Lastly, open up the last jump ring on your bracelet, and thread on the parrot clasp and close securely. Your bracelet is now ready to wear!
