Teal Heart Drop Earrings: Project Instructions
These stunning earrings use glass crystals and multiple strand connectors to keep everything in place. Great for practicing working with jump rings and turning loops.
MATERIALS REQUIRED
- 10 head pins
- 10 teal green 8mm round faceted glass crystal beads
- 8 smoky quartz 4mm round faceted glass crystal beads
- 10 x 6mm strong jump rings
- 2 x 5 strand heart drops
- 2 ear wires
TOOLS REQUIRED
- Twirly Wirlie Pliers
- Wire Cutters
INSTRUCTIONS
Take a headpin and thread onto it:
- an 8mm round faceted glass crystal bead
Leaving a space of 10mm, cut the excess off the head pin. Twirl the end using your twirly wirlies. Repeat three more times, so that you have 4 drops (DROP A). Put aside.
Take another headpin and thread onto it:
- an 8mm round faceted glass crystal bead
- a 4mm round faceted glass crystal bead
Leaving a space of 10mm, cut the excess off the head pin. Twirl the end using your twirly wirlies. Repeat three more times, so that you have four drops (DROP B). Put aside.
Take another headpin and thread onto it:
- an 8mm round faceted glass crystal bead
- 2 x 4mm round faceted glass crystal bead
Leaving a space of 10mm, cut the excess off the head pin. Twirl the end using your twirly wirlies. Repeat one more time, so that you have 2 drops (DROP C). Put aside.
Open up a jump ring and attach it to the first loop on the first heart drop. Whilst it is still open, thread on one DROP A. Close securely.
Open up another jump ring and attach it to the second loop on the first heart drop. Whilst it is still open, thread on one DROP B. Close securely.
Open up another jump ring and attach it to the third (middle loop) loop on the first heart drop. Whilst it is still open, thread on one DROP C. Close securely.
Open up another jump ring and attach it to the forth loop on the first heart drop. Whilst it is still open, thread on one DROP B. Close securely.
Open up another jump ring and attach it to the last loop on the first heart drop. Whilst it is still open, thread on one DROP A. Close securely.
Repeat for the second heart drop.
Lastly, open another jump ring and attach to the top loop in the heart drop. Whilst it is still open, thread on the earwire. Close securely. Repeat for the second earring. Your earrings are now ready to wear!
