Description
50mm stainless steel ball pins, used to create drops on necklaces or earrings, available in dark silver (nickel) colour only. These pins are quite thick (approximately 0.7mm thick, with a 1.9mm ball head), so they work well for most beads except those with a small hole (such as gemstones and pearls).
Head/ball pins are used to create drops for earrings and other jewellery projects - simply thread on your beads, with the "ball" stopping them from falling off. Leave a gap of about 10mm, cut off the excess pin and then use that 10mm to turn a loop. Use a jump ring to attach the loop to other components such as a drop or ear wire.
Stainless steel is an alloy that is mainly comprised of iron, with the addition of chromium. People who suffer from allergies whilst wearing standard base metal findings often find the stainless steel findings to be more suitable for them.
