38cm strand (approximately 62 beads) of tiger eye round beads, each bead is approximately 6mm x 6mm, hole size is standard (approximately 1mm).
Tigereye is a chalcedony pseudomorph, where the original asbestos fibres have been altered to quartz, whilst retaining their chatoyant schiller effect after polishing. Also known as silicified crocidolite, tigerseye is a popular ornamental gemstone.
These beautiful beads are a gorgeous golden brown in colour with stripes throughout, similar to the effect created by cats eye. They are opaque (light does not pass through).
Tiger eye is said to enhance stability and personal growth, and has a very earthy feel and look. It is often used as a stone of protection, said to have the power to focus the mind and body to the task at hand.
Please note that colours and sizes within semi-precious gemstones vary slightly from strand to strand.
