19cm strand (approximately 45 beads) of red tiger eye round beads, each bead is approximately 4.5mm x 4.5mm (hole size is average, approximately 1mm).
Tigereye is a chalcedony pseudomorph, where the original asbestos fibres have been altered to quartz, whilst retaining their chatoyant schiller effect after polishing. Also known as silicified crocidolite, tigerseye is a popular ornamental gemstone.
These beautiful beads have been heated and dyed to create a gorgeous golden red colour with stripes throughout, similar to the effect created by cats eye. They are opaque (light does not pass through).
Tiger eye is said to enhance stability and personal growth, and has a very earthy feel and look. It is believed to help develop healthy eating and exercise patterns.
Please note that colours and sizes within semi-precious gemstones vary slightly from strand to strand.
