​Black & Purple Charmed Bracelet: Project Instructions

Although it looks intricate, this steampunk style bracelet is quite simple to make. We use small black seed beads, purple velvet Swarovski beads and antique silver charms to put it all together - follow our free beading instructions to see how it's done! 

MATERIALS REQUIRED

  • 1 x filigree circle toggle clasp
  • 225 x size 11 black seed beads
  • 2 x small crimps
  • 2 x headpins
  • 1 x fancy heart parrot clasp
  • 6 x 6mm strong jump rings
  • 2 x 8mm jump rings
  • 1m x silver tigertail
  • 2 x silver filigree metal tubes
  • 1 x purple velvet Swarovski 6mmbicones
  • 1 x tanzanite Swarovski 6mmbicones
  • 1 x silver watch movement metalcharm
  • 2 x crystal heliotrope Swarovski4mm bicones
  • 2 x tanzanite Swarovski 4mmbicones
  • 1 x swallow metal charm
  • 1 x cross metal charm

TOOLS REQUIRED

  • 2 pairs of Crimping Pliers
  • Wire Cutters
  • 2 mini bead stoppers

INSTRUCTIONS

Pick up your piece of tigertail and cut it into 3 equal pieces (approx 30cm). Thread a crimp onto the 3 pieces of tigertail and go through the small loop on your filigree cricle. Thread back through the small crimp and pull up tight.Squish securely and cut off any excess tigertail. Thread a large filigree tube over the 3 pieces of tigertail to hide the crimp.

Next, thread onto one of the pieces of tigertail:

  • - 25 size 11 black seed beads
  • - a crystal heliotrope 4mm Swarovski bicone
  • - 25 size 11 black seed beads
  • - a purple velvet 4mm Swarovski bicone
  • - 25 size 11 black seed beads

Clamp a bead stopper onto the end of the tigertail to hold everything in place.

Next, thread onto your next piece of tigertail:

  • - 15 size 11 black seed beads
  • - a tanzanite 4mm Swarovski bicone
  • - 25 size 11 black seed beads
  • - a crystal heliotrope 4mm Swarovski bicone
  • - 35 size 11 black seed beads

Clamp another bead stopper onto the end of the tigertail to hold everything in place.

Next, thread onto your last piece of tigertail:

  • - 35 size 11 black seed beads
  • - a purple velvet 4mm Swarovski bicone
  • - 25 size 11 black seed beads
  • - a tanzanite 4mm Swarovski bicone
  • - 15 size 11 black seed beads


Take the bead clamps of your tigertail and bring all 3 strands of tigertail back together. Thread a large filigree metal tube and a small crimp onto the 3 strands of tigertail. Bring the 3 strands through a 6mm jump ring and then backthrough your crimp. Pull up tightly and squish down the small crimp. Cut off any excess tigertail.

Open the 6mm jump ring up that you just attached your tigertail to and thread on your silver watch movement metal charm through the small round hole and close the jumpring.

On the other side of the watch movement metal charm attach two 8mm jump rings to the small square hole and close securely. Finally open up another 6mm jump ring and thread on the fancy heart parrot clasp and attach to thetwo 8mm jump rings. Put aside for now.

Take a head pin and thread up with:
- a purple velvet 6mm Swarovski bicone
Leaving a space of 10mm, cut the excess off the head pin. Twirl the end using your twirly wirlies. Put aside.

Take a head pin and thread up with:
- a tanzanite 6mm Swarovski bicone
Leaving a space of 10mm, cut the excess off the head pin. Twirl the end using your twirly wirlies. Put aside.

Open a 6mm strong jump ring, attach the purple velvet crystal drop and join to the filigree circle on your bracelet, closing the jump ring securely. Open another 6mm strong jump ring, attach the tanzanite crystal drop and join to thefiligree circle on your bracelet, closing the jump ring securely. Repeat twice more to join on the swallow metal charm and the cross metal charms. Your bracelet is now ready to wear!
