Angel Fish Necklace: Project Instructions

Who can stay away from these cute fish beads?! Teamed with translucent white beads and aqua blue crystals, this necklace is simple to make - read on to find out more!

MATERIALS REQUIRED

  • 60cm tigertail
  • 2 small crimps
  • 3 x 6mm strong jump rings
  • 2 filigree metal tubes
  • 24 milky rounded glass beads
  • 20 x 6mm rondelle glass crystals
  • 11 plain metal beads
  • 8 angel fish glass beads
  • 1 'created for you' butterfly metal charm
  • 1 parrot clasp

TOOLS REQUIRED

  • Crimping Pliers
  • Wire Cutters
  • Twirly Wirlies

INSTRUCTIONS

Take the piece of tigertail and thread through a small crimp. Thread through a jump ring, then back through the crimp. Pull up tightly, squish down your crimp and cut off any excess tigertail. Thread on one of your filigree metal beads (to hide the crimp).

Thread on:

  • a milky rounded glass bead
  • a 6mm rondelle glass crystal bead glass bead
  • a milky rounded glass bead
  • a plain metal bead

Continue the pattern until you have three 6mm rondelle glass beads on the tigertail.

Then thread on:

  • an angel fish glass bead (from the tail end first)
  • a 6mm rondelle glass crystal bead glass bead
  • a milky rounded glass bead
  • a plain metal bead
  • a milky rounded glass bead
  • a 6mm rondelle glass crystal bead glass bead

Continue this pattern until you have threaded on 4 angel fish beads.

Then thread on:

  • a 6mm rondelle glass crystal bead glass bead
  • a milky rounded glass bead
  • a plain metal bead
  • a milky rounded glass bead
  • a 6mm rondelle glass crystal bead glass bead
  • an angel fish glass bead (from the head end first)

Continue this pattern until you have threaded on 4 angel fish beads.

Then thread on:

  • a 6mm rondelle glass crystal bead glass bead
  • a milky rounded glass bead
  • a plain metal bead
  • a milky rounded glass bead

Continue this pattern until you have 5 milky glass beads on your necklace.

Thread on the other filigree metal tube, followed by the second small crimp. Thread through a jump ring, then back through the crimp. Pull up tightly, squish down your crimp and cut off any excess tigertail.

Open up another jump ring and thread through the butterfly charm then through the jump ring on one end of your strand. Close securely. Open up the jump ring on the other end of the strand. Thread on the parrot clasp and close securely. Your necklace is now ready to wear!
