INSTRUCTIONS

The pattern

(you'll need this for most of the necklace)

  • a 6mm glass pearl bead
  • a 3mm plain metal bead
  • a 9mm rounded glass bead
  • a 3mm plain metal bead
  • a ladybird glass bead
  • a 3mm plain metal bead
  • a 9mm rounded glass bead
  • a 3mm plain metal bead
  • a 6mm glass pearl bead
  • a 3mm plain metal bead
  • a 9mm helix glass crystal bead
  • a 3mm plain metal bead

The main part of the necklace

Take the piece of tigertail and thread through a small crimp, then through a jump ring. Thread back through the crimp, pull up tightly and squish down. Cut off any excess tigertail. Thread on a filigree metal tube.

Next, thread on:

  • a 6mm glass pearl bead
  • a 3mm plain metal bead
  • a 9mm helix glass crystal bead
  • a 3mm plain metal bead

Next, thread on the pattern (as above at the top) 7 times so that you have a total of 7 ladybird glass beads on your strand. Finally, finish by threading on one more 6mm glass pearl bead.

Finish by threading on a filigree tube, followed by a small crimp and a jump ring. Thread back through the crimp, pull up tightly and squish down. Cut off any excess tigertail. Open up the jump ring (as they are quite strong, you'll need two sets of pliers) and thread on a parrot clasp. Close securely. Open the jump ring on the other side of the necklace and thread on the butterfly charm, close securely. Your necklace is now ready to wear.
