MATERIALS REQUIRED

  • 30cm tigertail
  • 2 small crimps
  • 13 x 6mm strong jump rings
  • 2 crimp covers
  • 6 x 8mm stardust metal beads
  • 12 x 8mm round glass crystal beads
  • 10 x 8mm rondelle glass crystal beads
  • 5 flower barrel leather drops
  • 5 green holly glass bead charms
  • 2 x 12cm chain, 1 x 3cm chain
  • 1 large fancy heart parrot clasp
  • 1 x 8mm jump ring
  • 'handmade' hand metal charm

TOOLS REQUIRED

  • 2 pairs of Crimping Pliers
  • Wire Cutters

INSTRUCTIONS

Pick up your piece of tigertail and thread it through a small crimp, then through the strong jump ring. Thread back through the small crimp and pull up tight. Squish securely and cut off any excess tigertail. Place a crimp cover around the squashed crimp and gently squish into a round ball with your crimping pliers to hide the crimp. Thread on an 8mm stardust metal bead, followed by a 8mm round glass crystal bead.

Next, thread on:

  • an 8mm rondelle glass crystal bead
  • an 8mm round glass crystal bead
  • a flower barrel leather drop
  • an 8mm round glass crystal bead
  • an 8mm rondelle glass crystal bead
  • an 8mm stardust metal bead

Repeat this pattern until you have thread on 4 flower barrel leather drops.

Finish by threading on:

  • an 8mm rondelle glass crystal bead
  • an 8mm round glass crystal bead
  • a flower barrel leather drop
  • an 8mm round glass crystal bead
  • an 8mm rondelle glass crystal bead
  • an 8mm round glass crystal bead
  • an 8mm stardust metal bead

Thread on a small crimp, then through a strong jump ring, then back through the small crimp. Pull up tightly (but leave enough space to put another crimp cover over the crimp) and squish down the small crimp. Cut off any excess tigertail. Place a crimp cover around the squashed crimp and gently squish into a round ball with your pliers to hide the crimp.

Open up one of the strong jump rings (as they are quite strong, you will need two pairs of crimping pliers or a jump ring tool) and thread it onto one of the flower barrel leather drops, close securely. Open another strong jump ring and thread it through the jump ring you just attached. Whilst it's still open, thread on one of the green holly glass bead charms, close securely. Repeat, adding a piece of holly to each drop.

Open up one of the jump rings on the end of the beaded piece and thread on one of the 12cm lengths of chain. Close securely. Open up the jump ring on the other end of the beaded piece and thread on the other 12cm length of chain, close securely.

Open up the last link in one of the pieces of chain and thread on the large fancy heart parrot clasp, close securely. Open up the 8mm strong jump ring and thread it onto the last link in the other piece of chain. Whilst it's open, thread on the small 3cm length of chain, close securely. Finally, open up the last 6mm strong jump ring and thread on the handmade charm. Whilst it's still open, thread it onto the end of the 3cm length of chain and close securely. Your Christmas themed necklace is now ready to wear!
