Copper & Teal Heart Chain Necklace: Project Instructions

Extra large chain provides a great base in this necklace project - using copper coloured chain and findings, and teaming with a teal heart glass bead, this project involves working with chain, turning loops and more.

MATERIALS REQUIRED

  • 1 head pin
  • 1 large star bead cap
  • 1 large heart glass bead
  • 1 plain metal bead
  • 4 x 6mm strong jump rings
  • 24 links of extra large twisted loop chain (approx 57cm)
  • 1 heart toggle clasp

TOOLS REQUIRED

  • Crimping Pliers
  • Twirly Wirlie Pliers
  • Wire Cutters

INSTRUCTIONS

Heart Drops

Take a head pin and thread on:

  • a large star metal bead cap
  • a large heart glass bead (base down first)
  • a plain metal bead

Leaving a space of 10mm, cut the excess off the head pin. Twirl the end using your twirly wirlies. Open a jump ring and attach to the loop you just made.

Put it together!

Take the 24-loop length of extra large twisted loop chain. On one end, open a jump ring and attach to the last loop. Open another jump ring, thread through the bar part of the toggle clasp and the previous jump ring. Close securely.

Pick up the other end of the 24-loop length of extra large twisted loop chain. Open a jump ring and thread through the loop in the top of the heart part of the toggle clasp. Thread through the last loop in the length of extra large chain and close securely. Open one more jump ring, thread through the top of the loop you made in your heart drop. Thread through the main part of the toggle clasp and close securely. Your necklace is now ready to wear!
