Green Frog Earrings: Project Instructions

Create adorable handmade earrings featuring silver frog charms and peppermint green glass beads. This beginner-friendly jewellery-making project teaches simple techniques like working with jump rings and turning loops on eye pins. Follow our step-by-step guide to make your own pair!

MATERIALS REQUIRED

• 2 eye pins
• 4 thin filigree bead caps
• 2 peppermint green oval glass beads
• 2 standard ear wires
• 2 x 6mm strong jump rings
• 2 leaping frog metal charms

TOOLS REQUIRED

• Twirly Wirlie Pliers
• Wire Cutters
• 2 x Crimping Pliers

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: Assemble the Beaded Component

1. Take an eye pin and thread on the following in order:

   • 1 thin filigree bead cap

   • 1 peppermint green oval glass bead

   • 1 thin filigree bead cap

2. Using wire cutters, trim the excess eye pin, leaving a 10mm tail.

3. Using Twirly Wirlie pliers, create a loop at the end of the eye pin.

4. Open the loop slightly and attach it to an ear wire. Close the loop securely.

Step 2: Attach the Frog Charm

1. Open a 6mm strong jump ring using two sets of pliers.

2. Attach the leaping frog metal charm to the jump ring.

3. Connect the jump ring to the bottom loop of the eye pin.

4. Close the jump ring securely.

Step 3: Repeat for the Second Earring
Follow the same steps to complete your second earring.
