Green Memory Wire Bracelet: Project Instructions

Green Memory Wire Bracelet: Project Instructions

Memory wire bracelets are not only simple to make, they're easy to wear as well! Memory wire is a hardened wire that holds its shape - which means that a clasp is not necessary as the bracelet can be wrapped onto the wrist.

MATERIALS REQUIRED

  • 22 plain curved metal tubes
  • 2 head pins
  • 2 x 6mm strong jump rings
  • 5 loops bracelet memory wire
  • 50 x 3mm plain metal balls
  • 25 large cube cats eye beads

TOOLS REQUIRED

  • 2 pairs of Crimping Pliers
  • Twirly Wirlie Pliers
  • Wire Cutters
  • Memory Wire Cutters

INSTRUCTIONS

Take your bracelet memory wire and twirl one end into a loop using the twirly wirlie pliers. Thread on:

  • a plain metal ball
  • a large cube cats eye bead
  • a plain metal ball
  • a plain curved metal tube

Repeat the pattern until you are happy with the length (we used 23 large cube cats eye beads). Finish by threading on another plain metal ball, a large cube cats eye bead and one more plain metal bead. Cut off any excess memory wire using your memory wire cutters, leaving 15mm of wire bead-free. Use your twirly wirlies to make a full loop at the end of the wire.

Pick up one of the head pins and thread on:

  • a plain metal bead
  • a large cube cats eye bead
  • a plain metal bead

Leaving a space of 10mm, cut the excess off the head pin. Twirl the end using your twirly wirlies. Repeat process so that you have two cats eye drops.

Open up one of the jump rings and attach it to the loop at one end of your bracelet. Whilst the jump rings is still open, thread on one of the cats eye drops. Close securely. Open the other jump ring and attach to the other end of the bracelet. Whilst is is still open, thread on the other cats eye drop. Close securely. Your bracelet is now ready to wear - to put on, simply twist around your wrist.
