INSTRUCTIONS

Frog Drop

Take a head pin and thread up with:

  • a plain metal ball
  • a frog glass bead ("bottom down")
  • a plain metal ball

Leaving a space of 10mm, cut the excess off the head pin. Twirl the end using your twirly wirlies. Repeat with all 7 of the glass frog beads (so that you have 7 altogether). Put aside.

Heart Drop

Take a head pin and thread up with:

  • a puffy heart cats eye bead ("base down")

Leaving a space of 10mm, cut the excess off the head pin. Twirl the end using your twirly wirlies. Repeat until you have 16 heart drops. Put aside.

Crystal Drop

Take a head pin and thread up with:

  • an 8mm round faceted glass crystal

Leaving a space of 10mm, cut the excess off the head pin. Twirl the end using your twirly wirlies. Repeat until you have 16 crystal drops. Put aside.

Creating the chain

Open up one of the jump rings. As they are quite strong, you will need to use two sets of pliers (we used a set of crimping pliers and a set of twirly wirlies). Whilst it is open, thread on one of the heart drops, and another jump ring. Close securely. Open up the jump ring just added, and thread on a crystal drop, followed by another jump ring. Close securely. Open up the jump ring just added, and thread on a heart drop, followed by another jump ring. Close securely. Open up the jump ring just added, and thread on a crystal drop, followed by another jump ring. Close securely. Open up the jump ring just added, and thread on a frog drop, followed by another jump ring.

[You should now have the main pattern of the bracelet: a chain of jump rings, with a drop coming from each jump ring. The drops should be (in order):

  • a heart drop
  • a crystal drop
  • a heart drop
  • a crystal drop
  • a frog drop]

Repeat this process until you have a chain with all 7 frog beads attached. Finish by repeating the pattern once more, minus the frog drop. In other words, finish with a section that has

  • a heart drop
  • a crystal drop
  • a heart drop
  • a crystal drop

To finish your bracelet, open up another jump ring. Whilst it is open, thread on the parrot clasp, and attach to one end of the chain. Open up the last jump ring and attach to other end of the bracelet. Your bracelet is now ready to wear!
