Ocean Dreaming Drop Earrings: Project Instructions

These ocean-inspired earrings are super simple to make! The lightweight jump rings open easily with your fingers, and the dreamy heishi glass beads come in a gorgeous range of colours. MATERIALS REQUIRED

• designer earring kit
• approximately 40 heishi glass beads

TOOLS REQUIRED

• pliers (Crimping or Twirly Wirlies)
• Wire Cutters

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: Prepare the chain

1. Cut your chain into two equal lengths of 7.5cm using wire cutters.

Step 2: Select your beads

1. Sort through your heishi glass beads and select the colours you'd like to use.

2. If you want matching earrings, make sure to choose two of each bead.

Step 3: Add Beads to the Chain

1. Open a jump ring and thread on a heishi disc bead.

2. Slide the jump ring through a link in the chain, then close it securely.

3. Repeat this process until the chain is evenly covered in beads.

Step 4: Attach the Ear Wires

1. Open the loop on the ear wire (shepherd hook) using pliers.

2. Attach it to the top of the chain and close securely.

3. Repeat for the second earring.

Your Earrings Are Ready to Wear!
