INSTRUCTIONS

MAKING THE COMPONENTS: Main part of necklace

Take the longer piece of tigertail and thread through a small crimp. Thread through a jump ring, then back through the crimp. Pull up tightly, squish down your crimp and cut off any excess tigertail. Thread on one of your large holed filigree metal tubes (to hide the crimp).

Thread on:

  • a 7mm helix glass crystal bead
  • a 3mm plain metal bead

Repeat pattern another 8 times, until you have 9 glass crystal beads on your strand. Thread on one more crystal bead, followed by one of the flower barrel leather drops. Then thread on:

  • a 7mm helix glass crystal bead
  • a 3mm plain metal bead
  • a 7mm helix glass crystal bead
  • a 3mm plain metal bead
  • a 7mm helix glass crystal bead
  • a 3mm plain metal bead
  • a 7mm helix glass crystal bead
  • a 3mm plain metal bead
  • a 7mm helix glass crystal bead
  • a flower barrel leather drop

Repeat the above pattern another 3 times, so that you have a total of 5 flower barrel leather drops on your strand.

Finally, thread on:

  • a 7mm helix glass crystal bead
  • a 3mm plain metal bead

Repeat pattern another 8 times, until you have 9 glass crystal beads in this section. Thread on one more crystal bead, followed by a small crimp and one of the large hole metal tubes. Thread through a jump ring, then back through the crimp. Pull up tightly, squish down your crimp and cut off any excess tigertail. Put aside.

MAKING THE COMPONENTS: 5-Bead segments

Take the 12cm piece of tigertail and thread through a small crimp.

Repeat pattern another 3 times, until you have 4 glass crystal beads on your strand. Thread on one more crystal bead, followed by a small crimp and one of the large hole metal tubes. Thread through a jump ring, then back through the crimp. Pull up tightly, squish down your crimp and cut off any excess tigertail. Repeat this process so that you have two 5-crystal segments. Put aside.

MAKING THE COMPONENTS: 13-Bead segments

Take the 18cm piece of tigertail and thread through a small crimp.

Repeat pattern another 11 times, until you have 12 glass crystal beads on your strand. Thread on one more crystal bead, followed by a small crimp and one of the large hole metal tubes. Thread through a jump ring, then back through the crimp. Pull up tightly, squish down your crimp and cut off any excess tigertail. Repeat this process so that you have two 13-crystal segments. Put aside.

MAKING THE COMPONENTS: Bead Drop

  • Pick up the head pin and thread on:
  • a 7mm helix glass crystal bead

Leaving a space of 10mm, cut the excess off the head pin. Twirl the end using your twirly wirlies. Repeat so that you have two crystal drops. Put aside.

PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER

Pick up a jump ring and attach to the centre flower barrel leather drop. Whist it's still open, thread it through the top loop of the 5 strand heart drop, close securely.

Pick up one of the shorter 5-bead segments and open up the jump ring on one end and attach to the second flower barrel leather drop, close securely. Open the jump ring on the other end of the segment and attach to the top side loop of the 5 strand heart drop, close securely. Repeat with the second 5-bead segment, on the other side of the necklace.

Pick up one of the longer 13-bead segments and open up the jump ring on one end and attach to the first flower barrel leather drop, close securely. Open the jump ring on the other end of the segment and attach to the middle side loop of the 5 strand heart drop, close securely. Repeat with the second 13-bead segment, on the other side of the necklace.

Finally, pick up a jump ring and open it up. Thread on the bead drop and thread it onto the bottom centre loop of the 5 strand heart drop, close securely.

To finish, open up the jump ring on one end of the necklace and thread on a parrot clasp, close securely. Your necklace is now ready to wear!
