Purple/Teal Beaded Hat Pin: Project Instructions
Whether for an actual hat, or to be used instead of a brooch, hat pins are back in! Follow our simple beading instructions to learn how to make your own hat pin, featuring purple and teal beads.
MATERIALS REQUIRED
- 1 metal hat pin
- 4 x 8mm rondelle glass crystal beads
- 5 x 3mm plain metal beads
- 2 x 6mm rondelle glass crystal beads
- 2 x 8mm rondelle diamante spacers
- 1 x 9mm helix glass crystal beads
TOOLS REQUIRED
- E6000 Glue
- toothpick
INSTRUCTIONS
Take the stopper off the metal hat pin and thread on:
- an 8mm rondelle glass crystal
- a plain metal bead
- a 6mm rondelle glass crystal
- a plain metal bead
- an 8mm rondelle glass crystal
- an 8mm rondelle diamante spacer
- a 9mm helix glass crystal
- an 8mm rondelle diamante spacer
- an 8mm rondelle glass crystal
- a plain metal bead
- a 6mm rondelle glass crystal
- a plain metal bead
Using a toothpick, glue just under the last plain metal bead and quickly slide up the last 8mm rondelle glass crystal bead. Again, use the toothpick and glue just under the 8mm rondelle glass crystal bead that was just threaded on and quickly slide up the last plain metal bead. Replace the stopper on the end of the hat pin and let sit for 15 minutes.
Your hat pin can be stuck in the top of your hat to add an elegance to any occasion.
