MATERIALS REQUIRED

  • 60cm tigertail
  • 2 small crimps
  • 2 x 6mm strong jump rings
  • 2 crimp covers
  • 11 x 7mm helix glass crystal beads
  • 38 x 3mm plain metal beads
  • 10 x 6mm rondelle glass crystal beads
  • 19 x 10mm round lava stone beads
  • 1 head pin
  • 3cm chain
  • 1 parrot clasp

TOOLS REQUIRED

  • 2 pairs of Crimping Pliers
  • Twirly Wirlie Pliers
  • Wire Cutters

INSTRUCTIONS

Pick up the strand of tigertail, thread on a small crimp, a jump ring, then thread back through the crimp. Pull up tightly, squish securely and cut off any excess tigertail. Place a crimp cover around the squashed crimp and gently squish into a round ball with your pliers to hide the crimp.

Then thread on:

  • a 7mm helix glass crystal bead
  • a 3mm plain metal bead
  • a 6mm rondelle glass crystal bead
  • a 3mm plain metal bead

Repeat this pattern another 4 times, so that you have 5 helix glass crystal beads on your strand.

Next, thread on:

  • a 10mm round lava stone bead
  • a 3mm plain metal bead

Repeat this pattern another 18 times, so that you have 19 lava stone beads on your strand.

Finally thread on:

  • a 6mm rondelle glass crystal bead
  • a 3mm plain metal bead
  • a 7mm helix glass crystal bead
  • a 3mm plain metal bead

Repeat this pattern another 3 times, so that you have 4 helix glass crystal beads on your strand and complete by threading on:

  • a 6mm rondelle glass crystal bead
  • a 3mm plain metal bead
  • a 7mm helix glass crystal bead

Thread through a small crimp, through a strong jump ring, then back through the small crimp. Pull up tightly (but leave enough space to put another crimp cover over the crimp) and squish down the small crimp. Cut off any excess tigertail. Place a crimp cover around the squashed crimp and gently squish into a round ball with your pliers to hide the crimp. Put aside for now.

Pick up the head pin and thread on the last 7mm helix glass crystal bead. Leaving a space of 10mm, cut the excess off the head pin. Twirl the end using your twirly wirlies. Open up the loop just created and thread onto the last link in the chain, close securely. Open up the jump ring (as it is quite strong, you will need two pairs of pliers or a jump ring tool) on one end of the necklace and thread on the other end of the chain, close securely. Open up the jump ring on the other end of the necklace and thread on the parrot clasp, close securely. Your necklace is now ready to wear!
