Sparkly Twist Elastic Bracelet: Project Instructions

Sparkly Twist Elastic Bracelet: Project Instructions

Stretchy elastic is a great medium to work with - once threaded up, your bracelet will be easy to slip on, no clasps involved. This two strand bracelet features silver coloured beads and balls, with a nice twist. Follow our instructions to make your own

MATERIALS REQUIRED

  • 5 x 8mm diamante rondelle spacers
  • 5 x 2 strand flower beads
  • 80 x 3mm plain metal beads
  • 5 x 6mm stardust metal beads
  • 2 x 30cm 1mm beading elastic
  • 10 x 6mm plain metal beads
  • 10 x 10mm plain metal beads

TOOLS REQUIRED

  • scissors
  • glue

INSTRUCTIONS

STRAND ONE

Pick up one of your strands of elastic and tie a loose knot at one end. Thread on:

  • a 6mm plain metal bead
  • a 10mm plain metal bead
  • a 8mm diamante rondelle spacer
  • a 10mm plain metal bead
  • 6mm plain metal bead
  • through the left hand hole of a 2 strand flower bead

Repeat this another 4 times, so that you have five 2 strand flower beads on your strand.

Undo the knot at the end of the elastic, bring the two ends together and tie tightly with a simple overhand knot (make a loop with the two strands and bring the tails through the centre of the loop). Coat the knot with a dab of clear nail polish, allow to dry then cut close to the knot.

STRAND TWO

Tie a loose knot at one end of the second piece of elastic. Thread on:

  • 8 x 3mm plain metal beads
  • a 6mm stardust metal bead
  • 8 x 3mm plain metal beads
  • wrap around stand one then thread through the right hand hole on the back of the two strand flower spacer

Repeat this another 4 times, so that you have threaded through all of the 2 strand flower beads.

Undo the knot at the end of the elastic, bring the two ends together and tie tightly with a simple overhand knot (make a loop with the two strands and bring the tails through the centre of the loop). Coat the knot with a dab of glue, allow to dry then cut close to the knot. Your bracelet is now ready to wear.
