40cm strand (approximately 45 beads) of rose quartz round beads, each bead is approximately 8.5mm to 8.7mm round.
Quartz is one of the most common minerals in the world, the name is derived from the German word "Quarz". The stone was known as "icy cold" by the Ancient Greeks, as some philosophers believed the stone to be a form of supercooled ice.
Rose quartz is the pink variety of quartz - the colour can be caused by trace amounts of titanium, iron or manganese. These particular beads are a opaque soft pale pink colour, likely with some dye applied.
Rose quartz is one of the most popular pink gemstones available. Commonly used in metaphysics and crystal healing, rose quartz is said to be the stone of friendship and love, capable of imparting a feeling of love and friendship. Some people use rose quartz beads to release emotional stress, either by wearing them, or creating an amulet or similar to have them close by.
