Have you heard the tale of the Christmas spider? Long ago the mother of the house was busily cleaning ready for Christmas. As she dusted and swept, she banished the spiders to the attic. After she had finished and everyone was tucked up in bed, the spiders peeked out and looked in wonder at the beautifully decorated Christmas tree. Enchanted, they scurried up the tree, dashing all across the branches of the tree. Just then, Saint Nicholas came down the chimney. He chuckled as he saw the spiders so mesmerised by the captivating tree. Then he thought about how dismayed Mother would be with the dusty spider webs covering the tree. He quickly turned the webs into beautiful strands of silver and glitter, and that is why every Christmas Tree should have strands of silver tinsel, and a Christmas spider on every branch!
Suitable for beginner beaders, this kit contains all of the findings and beads to create your very own beaded Christmas spider similar to the one shown (base metal findings). Perfect to make and gift as a Christmas Tree decoration or keep as the kit and give as part as a Kris Kringle or Secret Santa!
Each kit contains:
- 60cm beading wire
- 1 eye pin
- 1 x 16mm green acrylic feature bead
- 1 x 10mm red glass crystal bead
- 1 x large bead cap
- 48 x 5mm medium green S/L bugle beads
- 72 x 11/0 medium red S/L glass seed beads
Tools needed (not included): wire cutters and round nose pliers.
