Pearl Eye Glasses Chain: Project Instructions

Never lose your glasses again! Learn how to make a beaded glasses chain using glass pearls and metal beads. This DIY eyewear holder is made with tigertail wire, crimps, and jump rings, making it both stylish and functional. Follow our step-by-step guide to create a custom glasses chain that suits your style!

MATERIALS REQUIRED

• 70cm tigertail
• 2 small crimps
• 2 x 6mm strong jump rings
• 2 large holed metal beads
• 110 x 4mm glass pearl beads
• 42 x 3mm plain metal beads
• 21 x 6mm glass pearl beads
• 2 eye glass holders

TOOLS REQUIRED

• Twirly Wirlie Pliers
• Wire Cutters
• Crimping Pliers

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

1. Take your piece of tigertail and thread on a small crimp, followed by a jump ring. Thread the tigertail over the jump ring and back through the crimp. Crimp down tightly and cut off any excess tigertail.
2. Thread on a large holed metal bead (to hide the crimp), followed by:
   • 5 x 4mm glass pearl beads
   • 1 x 3mm plain metal bead
   • 1 x 6mm glass pearl bead
   • 1 x 3mm plain metal bead
3. Repeat this pattern until you reach your desired length (our design repeats the pattern 21 times).
4. Finish by threading on:
   • 5 x 4mm glass pearl beads
   • 1 large holed metal bead
5. Thread on another crimp, followed by a jump ring. Thread the tigertail over the jump ring and back through the crimp. Pull up tightly, then squish the crimp securely. Cut off any excess tigertail.
6. Open up one of the jump rings and attach an eye glass holder, then close the ring securely. Repeat on the other side.

Your beaded glasses chain is now ready to use! Simply attach your glasses, and you're ready to go in style.
