Rose Purple Swirl Earrings: Project Instructions

Using eye pins, metal beads and wirework, these earrings feature glass beads and copper findings. Follow our instructions to learn how to make your own.

MATERIALS REQUIRED

  • 2 eye pins
  • 4 pale rose small disc glass beads
  • 4 wide daisy spacers
  • 4 thin filigree bead caps
  • 2 medium rose silver foil round beads
  • 10cm of 20g copper beading wire
  • 2 ear wires

TOOLS REQUIRED

  • Twirly Wirlie Pliers
  • Wire Cutters
  • Nylon Jaw Pliers

INSTRUCTIONS

Take an eye pin and thread onto it:

  • a pale rose small disc glass bead
  • a wide daisy spacer
  • a thin filigree bead cap
  • a medium rose silver foil round bead
  • a thin filigree bead cap
  • a wide daisy spacer
  • a pale rose small disc glass bead

Leaving a space of 10mm, cut the excess off the eye pin. Twirl the end using your twirly wirlies. Put aside.

Cut off 5cm of the 20gauge copper beading wire. Using your twirlie wirlies, gently curl one end of the wire making the smallest loop possible. Using a pair of nylon jaw pliers, hold the small loop of wire and carefully bend the wire arounf the small loop creating a spiral. When you have approximately 10mm of wire left uncurled, use your twirly wirlies make a small loop.

Open up one of the loops on your eye pin and attach your spiral. On the other end of the eye pin attach your earwire. Repeat for the second earring. Your earrings are now ready to wear!
