Rose/Aqua Lolly Necklace: Project Instructions
Who can go past these awesome lolly glass bead charms? We certainly couldn't and came up with this design to be able to wear them! Teamed with glass crystal and metal beads, this necklace is perfect for those looking for something more unique.
MATERIALS REQUIRED
- 30cm tigertail
- 2 small crimps
- 7 x 6mm strong jump rings
- 2 crimp covers
- 6 x 8mm stardust metal beads
- 12 x 6mm rondelle glass crystal beads
- 10 x 8mm rondelle glass crystal beads
- 5 flower barrel leather drops
- 5 lolly glass bead charms
- 1 x 8cm chain, 1 x 13.5cm chain
- 1 large fancy heart parrot clasp
- 'handmade' hand metal charm
TOOLS REQUIRED
- 2 pairs of Crimping Pliers
- Twirly Wirlie Pliers
- Wire Cutters
INSTRUCTIONS
Pick up your piece of tigertail and thread it through a small crimp, then through the strong jump ring. Thread back through the small crimp and pull up tight. Squish securely and cut off any excess tigertail. Place a crimp cover around the squashed crimp and gently squish into a round ball with your pliers to hide the crimp. Thread on an 8mm stardust metal bead, followed by a 6mm rondelle glass crystal bead.
Next, thread on:
- an 8mm rondelle glass crystal bead
- a 6mm rondelle glass crystal bead
- a flower barrel leather drop
- a 6mm rondelle glass crystal bead
- an 8mm rondelle glass crystal bead
- an 8mm stardust metal bead
Repeat this pattern until you have thread on 4 flower barrel leather drops.
Finish by threading on:
- an 8mm rondelle glass crystal bead
- a 6mm rondelle glass crystal bead
- a flower barrel leather drop
- a 6mm rondelle glass crystal bead
- an 8mm rondelle glass crystal bead
- a 6mm rondelle glass crystal bead
- an 8mm stardust metal bead
Thread on a small crimp, then through a strong jump ring, then back through the small crimp. Pull up tightly (but leave enough space to put another crimp cover over the crimp) and squish down the small crimp. Cut off any excess tigertail. Place a crimp cover around the squashed crimp and gently squish into a round ball with your pliers to hide the crimp.
Open up one of the strong jump rings (as they are quite strong, you will need two pairs of pliers, or a jump ring tool) and thread it onto one of the flower barrel leather drops. Whilst it's still open, thread on one of the lolly glass bead charms, close securely. Repeat, adding a lolly to each drop.
Open up one of the jump rings on the end of the beaded piece and thread on the 8cm lengths of chain. Close securely. Open up the jump ring on the other end of the beaded piece and thread on the 13.5cm length of chain, close securely.
Open up the last link in the 8cm length of chain and thread on the large fancy heart parrot clasp, close securely. Finally, open up the last link in the 13.5cm length of chain and thread on the handmade charm. Close securely - your beaded lolly necklace is now ready to wear!
